Capture View

There are situations in which you may need to capture the desktop of your computer and save it as an image file. You may want to do this in order to show an error message to the producer of a software, so he can investigate it and resolve the problem. Or maybe you would like to have a piece of information saved, so you can recall it later on. No matter what the reason is, it's very difficult to capture the desktop using the Windows Print Screen feature. That's because this involves copying the image into clipboard, pasting it in Paint and then saving it as an actual image file.

A better idea would be to use the Capture View application, which allows capturing the desktop and saving it as an image file in a much easier way than using Print Screen. This simple Windows application allows capturing any portion of the desktop and saving it as an image file in the shortest time possible.

The software actually displays a transparent window, in which the user can see how the captured image will look like. At this point, he can use the graphical button displayed in the toolbar of the interface for capturing the portion of desktop which is inside the program's window.

Capture View includes several methods of capturing the desktop, either in full screen, active window or selection. Besides that, captured images can have a transparency level added to that. This kind of images should be saved in the PNG format, for keeping their transparency. Speaking about saving, Capture View supports a wide range of image formats, including GIF, JPEG, PNG and BMP.
